Jon Knott was 5-for-6 with five RBIs and two home runs, including a game-winning shot in the bottom of the 11th, as the Portland Beavers rallied for a 9-7 victory over the Las Vegas 51s during the final home game of the season played before 11,157 at PGE Park on Aug. 27.

For the season, the Beavers drew 401,092 fans – an average of 5,649 per game. The attendance total represented a 10-percent increase over 2005, when the team drew 360,772, and a 22-percent increase over the 2004 campaign, when the club attracted 312,679 fans.

"It was an outstanding season for us," said John Cunningham, the president and general manager of the Beavers. "It has been great to see the community respond to the many changes we have made over the last couple of years."

Following Sunday's game, the entire team signed autographs on the field, making for a great day as the more than 11,000 celebrated "Fan Appreciation Day."
